High School Sweethearts Happily Hitched

Sarah Crim and Jason Perlman began their romance as high school sweethearts, with their love growing through their college years and into adulthood. When their officiant counseled the couple before the big day, she asked Jason what he liked about Sarah. His enthusiastic answer was "Everything!"

Family and friends knew that Sarah and Jason were the real deal. All the groomsmen agreed that the two were meant to be together and all the bridesmaids said the couple was so in love. These two sweethearts tied the knot on July 22, 2017 at the bucolic Shadow Creek in Loudoun County with its classic barn venue.

Sarah and Jason didn't want to see each other before the ceremony, but they still wanted a "first look". The couple wrote each other letters which they exchanged, along with gifts, by passing them through a doorway before sharing their vows under the arch made by Sarah's father (and later re-purposed for reception decor). The couple concluded the ceremony by breaking a glass, a Jewish tradition that symbolizes the absolute finality of the marital covenant.

The bride wore a gown from Couture Posh Bridal, with makeup by Heather Wombacher of Tica Beauty and hair by family members who are accomplished stylists for PR at Partners. Sarah gave her bridesmaids the wonderful option of selecting a dress neckline flattering to each attendant.

VP Consulting played a major role in the decor for Sarah and Jason's wedding. Owner & Event Planner Virginia Perry guided Sarah and her family in DIY flower designs. By purchasing their flowers wholesale through VP Consulting and getting the bridal party involved in the creation process, Sarah and Virginia were able to design all the centerpieces, bouquets and other arrangements for the wedding at about 1/3 of the budgeted cost. Plus the bridesmaids were able to get their hands in the mix - on wedding day, they lovingly gazed over their designs and bragged to the guests about their "art work". It was a great way for family and friends to contribute to Sarah and Jason's happiness!

A delicious bar-b-que menu was served by PIGS (Pork is Good Stuff). Jason's dad Uriel (co-founder of The Vinery, a distribution company) provided a fine selection of Portugal wines to complement the meal. To satisfy the sweet tooth of the guests, Sarah and Jason provided an assortment of desserts as well as cupcakes, a beautiful custom designed wedding cake and special groom's cake from Honey Bee Pastries.

Jason got his turn in the wedding spotlight with an "All things Tennessee" groom's table courtesy of his bride (surprise!). The cake reflected Jason's days at the University of Tennessee and the table included a photo of Jason and Sarah, an engraved glass with the name "Perlman" and flowers in a Jack Daniels bottle, along with a message from Sarah - "I love you from here to Tennessee." So cute!

To round out the celebration, guests enjoyed dancing to DJ Duaeno Dorsey of Background Solutions Entertainment and hoisted the happy couple for The Hora - a traditional Jewish celebration dance. David Salebe of Bella Vista Wedding captured the night on video and Carissa Uribe of Dulce Photography got it all down for years to come. Here's wishing these high school sweethearts Mazel Tov!
